Abstract
In Mexico there is a clear deterioration of urban lakes, so to generate conservation measures and ecosystem services, the monitoring of physical and chemical parameters in these water bodies has a key role. In this study, 16 physical-chemical variables from 10 sites were considered, with the aim of analysing the changes in the physical-chemical quality of the water over nine years of sampling. The statistical analysis showed that despite the fact that the system is hypereutrophic, there are variations in the behaviour of the area over time, and the areas close to places with agricultural and cattle activities and phosphorus. wastewater inputs are separated from the rest due to their differences in the concentrations of organic matter, nitrogen and phosphorus.
